It’s interesting how high round counts can quickly bring weak points to light. In your experience, which pistols have managed to hold up and run without any trouble?

I love all of my Hk's with thousands of rounds thru my P7M8 and USP's but my edc is the Hk45c. I shoot it better than any 9mm I have.

The standard full size 1911 is the most reliable pistol that I know of. The 1911A1 was the standard issue when I was in the Navy and as a Gunners Mate I have seen them horribly abused and they kept on going with tens of thousands of rounds through them. I only recall one time that a gun stopped running, the ejector sheared off and that did it.

I don’t know about reliability or high round counts but I think the P7M8 is one of the finest handguns ever produced!

I shoot 1911's. Several built using Caspian and Nighthawk frames and slides. Aiso have factory Colt,Dan Wesson and a Ed Brown. 45 ACP, 38 Super and 9mm.

Glock salesman let us shoot a full-auto Glock pistol that had gone over 20,000 shots without cleaning. The gun was just plain dumb - uncontrollable, but it never stopped functioning. Don't remember the exact model, it was a 9mm. Otherwise, my Colt Gold Cup which I carried on duty for decades, will still feed empty cartridges. So. I 'll say the Gold Cup series 70.
