Quality snap caps simulate live rounds in the chamber, protect the firing pin and give you real feedback on extraction and ejection during malfunction drills. A set costs almost nothing, so if you're dry firing without them especially on certain platforms, you're just making it harder on yourself than it needs to be. Are you using snap caps in your dry fire sessions or have you been skipping them?

Snap caps make dry fire more realistic and protect your firearm, it is worth it for serious training consistency..

One time, a Zoom snap cap actually got jammed in my extractor and ever since then, I've been really particular about which brands I use. A good quality snap cap really does make a difference for dry fire practice especially when you're constantly running reloads and malfunction drills without putting unnecessary wear on your firing pin.

What brand do you find to be good quality?
