Squirrel Hunters?

I am a squirrel hunting nut to put it lightly, if I could only hunt one critter the rest of my life it would be bushytails. In October of last year I sold my house and moved from my home town in Bates county and have moved three times since then but have finally settled down with a wife and home just south of Warsaw. I finally got to get out in the woods this last saturday and took this one in the first photo, the other pics are some from last season. I don't know a soul over here to hunt on but found a couple MDC places that are not too awful far away, been seeing a few squirrels, just not getting any shots, plus I'm kind of rusty.

I'm like you, I would rather hunt squirrels than anything. Squirrel hunting has been kind of tough this year, the early rains this year really contributed to a lot green underbrush and tree leaves. I could not find them in the trees with the handgun so I started using the rifle. As usually happens I shot six all at less than 15 yards. One squirrel came down the tree I was leaning against and was shot at less than four feet, a real challenge to find in the scope. I know I should take photos, maybe the next time.

I love chasing squirrels also but I don't get out as often as I used to.

Good for you guys for hunting the squirrels. I used to think they were kind of cute until they chewed up the wires under the hood of my van.
