With our community growing every day, I’d love to collect some of the shared experiences we have.

For our seasoned owners and collectors, what advice would you offer your younger self when you first began this journey? Share your insights on storage methods, reliable sites, auctions, or anything else you wish you had known sooner.

If you want to start collecting guns, pick something you like and focus on that, whether it is a particular model like a Remington 870 or a style like SxS shotguns and stick to it. In my younger years I tried to collect everything and it just didn’t work. Now I’m just trying to sell off everything I don’t shoot.

Junk remains junk forever. As Bobcat and Magnum212 have said, save your frog skins for one really nice item rather than a closet full of clunkers. The market shifts ....some appreciate, some actually go down in value. Black plastic, in my opinion, has peaked - as have put-together AR's. If you won't enjoy owning a particular piece, chances are no one else will either. Small gauges (.410's in particular) are always in demand, 16's are not.
