I've lost 64 lbs in one year. Unfortunately I think that's going to be it. I haven't lost anything in 2 months and my appetite seems to be returning to normal. From what I'm reading about other people's experiences, one year of weight loss is it.

Anyone else on the new "jab"?

I tried Ozempic for diabetes, of the negative side effects, I experienced nearly all of them. I did lose weight but it was because I was too sick to eat. I think the only way to permanently reduce weight is through lifestyle changes. I have close relatives who have struggled with weight loss all of their lives, they have tried it all up to and including surgery. The only permanent success has come from diet and exercise. A GLP-1 caused me to lose weight, but so did cancer. I can’t recommend either one!

My wife and I found success in Weight Watchers, we joined ten years ago. I lost 35 pounds and wife lost 50, we both achieved lifetime the first year. Their very useful app on the phone let's you scan foods in the store to discover the point value, pick and choose. Being selective and eating reasonable portion size has been key.
Recently, the organization has pushed GLP-1s, but we are of the opinion that the old plan we went with is best, learning new habits and healthier lifestyle.

I’ve heard a lot of people talk about hitting a plateau after a big weight loss. From what I gather, keeping it off long-term is the real challenge, not losing more weight.

Yeah. I'm hoping to use it as a springboard to a new lifestyle, not as the only thing I do. I've already improved some things.
