Summer can be a bit quiet for hunting, but I see it as prime time to get my ducks in a row before the rush starts. I've been working on my gear, setting up trail cams, and trying to keep fit, but I can't shake the feeling that there's always more to be done, so I'm curious about what everyone else is up to this time of year.

I'm going to pull some ladder stands that have been up several years and overhaul them and put up a couple more. I don't check my cameras too often but I'm going to rotate a couple of them out for cleaning and new batteries. I'm thinking about putting in a small annual plot or two and putting up a small box blind in a new spot. I'm also working up loads for a few new rifles and doing a little squirrel hunting on the cooler mornings.
I'm also always looking for new spots to hunt.

I have a pretty good hunting wardrobe so I'm not on the lookout for anything except a new "puffy" jacket, someone helped themselves to my old one. If anyone has a recommendation for a good jacket I would appreciate it!
