Any turkey shoots in MO? Turkey shoots are very popular east of the Mississippi but are hard to find in MO.

very simply 10 or more shooters each fire at a target at a set distance with the same shells. The winner is determined by whoever gets a pellet closest to the center of an X put in the middle of the target, some shoots are the most pellets in a 6" circle, while others can have a dot on the target and the shooter that can remove the dot wins. The prize can be almost anything, frozen turkeys, any cuts of meat even a side of beef, cash, whiskey.

I am familiar with these. We call this shooting cross, or splatter cards. I haven't been to any in our area for years, but I assume they still take place during the trap shoots.

Our American legion in Sunrise Beach puts them on. Theirs I believe is closest to the X
You buy the shell. Bring your own gun or I think they will provide you with one
