Now that nearly every brand has jumped on the micro-9 bandwagon, are we seeing the final evolution of this platform or do you think there are still some needs that upcoming models could tackle?

I’m sure that we’re going to see more options. The technology is constantly improving and I imagine that the micro 9’s won’t be ignored. I bought the first Sig P365 I saw and carried it daily for the rest of my working life. A couple of months after I retired I sold it. Even with my big paws the little gun shot good and it was 100% reliable. Since buying the Sig I have at least handled most of the other little pistols and have shot several of them. For me, none of them were as shootable as the Sig.

Recently purchased a Glock 43 - six round mag, single stack 9mm. The popularity of the 9mm is established with good reasons. First shot accuracy with the little guns is not a problem. Accuracy suffers during rapid fire if the pistol is too light and size of the grip doesn't allow full purchase of the entire, hand. Grip strength is dependent upon the ring and little finger. If you doubt this, try hammering a nail using just the thumb, trigger and middle finger.

Some of the small pistols are not well suited for accurate shooting but excel at concealment. This gun is a challenge. Mag extension makes a lot of difference.
