Finally found BH 209 at Bass Pro in Little Rock. Bought 2 and left 1 last week. Main interest is hunting. Passed on a humongous buck last year at 160 yards right at dark. Since then I have rescoped and am working on accuracy out to 250 yds. Trying BH 209 w/ 250 gr Thor Hammer. Previous problem was loading the second shot using 150 gr T7 pellets and 250gr sabot without swabbing the barrel first. Sized the Thor bullets at .501 and should solve the tight reloading problem with cleaner burning BH 209. TC Encore 50 cal.

good luck with the load. TC's have that EZ load muzzle and arent know for shooting sabotless bullets that great. Hopefully it works out great!

Belated welcome. Sounds like you’ve got an impressive setup and a sharp eye for detail! That TC Encore combined with BH 209 and the Thor Hammer bullets is a great match, especially as you’re working to stretch it out to 250 yards. We’ve got a fantastic group of hunters and muzzleloader fans here, so you’re definitely in good company. I can’t wait to hear how your new setup performs and if you manage to tag that big buck this season, you’d better come back with some pics
