I wanted to do a couple of quick reviews of products I have tested this year.

First up, a new Anorak from our own forum member, Callawegian Stichery.

I have been a fan of the Anorak for several years now and when I first joined the forum and saw Josh’s products I got pretty excited. The wheels started turning and to make a long story short after a few texts and a couple simple measurements I had a beautifully crafted garment that fit like a glove.

August is probably not the best time to wear a heavy wool Anorak so testing had to wait. Fast forward to deer season and away we go! I wore the Anorak over everything from long sleeve T-shirt in the milder temperatures to several layers in the bitter cold. It preformed perfectly in every situation I put it through and I couldn’t be happier! I was thoroughly impressed by the quality and performance of this garment. It’s made by hand, to last, with top quality materials. The hood and kangaroo pocket are lined with a soft fabric and are very warm. The drawstring for the hood and the zipper pull are paracord and long enough to be useful in an emergency situation. This is a very high quality garment that I would recommend to anyone!

This is the picture Josh sent me just prior to shipping my Anorak, we happen to wear the same size!

The second product is a Lenwood gun belt from Iron Hill Armory in Saint James.

3 years ago or so, I was diagnosed with cancer and the treatments have resulted in a loss of muscle mass so now I have no butt left to keep my britches from falling off 🙁 add my preferred carry gun, a full size 1911 and a couple of extra magazines along with all the other stuff I normally carry in my pockets and I simply couldn’t keep my pants up.
Enter Lenwood’s Conveyor Belt, gun belt. This thing is amazing! There are things I don’t leave the house without, my Benchmade AFO II knife, Fenix flashlight, a Case slimline trapper, a couple of Bic lighters etc add a 1911 and a couple extra magazines and you have quite a load.
The Lenwood supports it all with no sagging or rolling whatsoever! In fact, I can fasten the belt, lay it on my hardwood floor and stand on it without any folding or rolling at all. Because of the rubber coating, it’s not the easiest belt to put on or take off, it tends to drag a little going through belt loops but once there it’s solid. Lenwood also makes a dressier belt and they have a few different buckle options including the BFT which will get a separate review at a later date. They also have a very nice line of Kydex holsters.
Check them out when you get a chance!

Best place to purchase?
Midway & WalMart show "discontinued"
Website is sketchy.
I got mine directly from Iron Hill Armory (573) 261-3269. They bought out the original owner. I would imagine they would ship. I see fairly often at the local gun shows also. The website is not secure so I don’t recommend using it but I think they have a facebook page also.
