Hey everyone! I'm really itching to try something new, so I wanted to ask: what's a simple but delicious recipe you find yourself making over and over? I'm looking for ideas and inspiration, so if you have any cooking tips or even a picture of your dish, please share!

I have gotten into cooking since I retired. Two requirements for me: 1.) It has to be easy and 2.) I have to like all of the ingredients. I have made this one several times, and it has always been a big hit. I used regular biscuits in the bottom of the pan rather than Bisquick. Cut the dough into fours and line the bottom. Much easier.

I recently got into the BBQ fever using a Weber. I put in a cart I got on Amazon, and it stays on the covered deck to cook rain or shine. I also started using a vortex item that concentrates heat like an oven. Makes wings and thighs crispy on the outside and not burnt on the inside. Going to start trying the serpentine briquets setup for low and slow temps setup for some ribs on the 4th. Lots of info on Youtube for cooking on the weber. Can add wood chips or chunks for smoky flavor while cooking. Happy grillin y'all!

John Wayne Casserole sounds awesome Morgan101 easy to make with ground beef and biscuits. I like adding jalapenos for a little kick but keep the sour cream on top for creaminess. ALR that Weber pic shows nice crispy wings love the smoky flavor from wood chips.

AimX3, My friend has gone from Kingsford Charcoal to FOGO briquets and gave me his Kingsford apple mix briquets. He mostly uses a PitBoss smoker but uses the Weber too. He said on a test the FOGO charcoal burns hotter and longer than the Kingsford. I used them (Kingsford) on pork steaks the other day, turned out good as family ate them up.
With fall coming the bbq will be used more as its almost been too hot and dry this summer. Gonna try some brats today with the left over charcoal that I choked out after pork steaks were done.
I have a conundrum with sauces as I like it spicer and sweet (Sweet Baby Rays) than family and they like it sweeter than spicey. I have bought Walmart Great Value (cheap) and fixed it up and it was approved but to remember what I did to it IDK exactly, mostly apple cider vinegar added.
I also bought some recommended Duck Fat oil spray that is supposed to crisp up the outside on chicken, results to be seen yet. It is usually thighs, drumsticks, or wings. as the breasts are taking a back seat to those on the barby.
I have found great results using a digital thermometer rather than guessing the doneness on the meats.
Grill on Brothers!
Tony out...😋
