Do any of you make/repair fishing rods?

Just curious, I have always wanted to try rod building but never have. If you do, where do you like to shop for components? I just traded for a huge pile of fishing tackle and there are quite a few building tools and materials so I think I’ll give it a shot.

I remember when I first got started with a basic spinning rod kit. Had a great time learning how to wrap, space guides, and apply epoxy without stressing over fitment issues. A medium or medium-light blank is really forgiving, so don’t worry about it. My initial wraps looked like a squirrel had a go at the thread but the rod still works fine...

I've built a few fly rods but found out I would rather be tying flies. Still, the Loomis IM6 fly rod I built in the early '90 is still my favorite rod.
