2024 season, only had one day to hunt last season, I took this doe with a head on neck shot at 35-40 yards with my 10mm Dan Wesson Kodiak, hand loaded 180gr Speer Gold Dot over 9gr's of Longshot. It severed the spinal cord and vertebrae and stopped just shy of exiting on the back of the neck, brock the skin but did not come out. Video is not the greatest.
I’m on the board for 2025! I went out last Saturday for the early antlerless season and was lucky enough to shoot a nice adult doe. I shot her with my AR pistol chambered in .277 Wolverine, a single shot through the near side shoulder at about 50 yards did the trick and provided a nice pile of fresh meat for the freezer.
